In the morning, fly to Bocas del Toro, arriving after a 1-hour flight on theBocas del Toro archipelago. Bocas del Toro is a small Caribbean paradise nestled in the north-west of Panama, where time seems to slow down to the rhythm of the waves and palm trees. This archipelago of turquoise waters is made up of islands with enchanting names (Isla Colón, Bastimentos, Carenero) bordered by wild beaches, lush forests and colorful villages built on stilts. On arrival, departure by boat to your hotel, a small haven of tranquillity. The owners have built natural-style stilt bungalows on the water’s edge. Kayaks, paddles, snorkels and masks are available for hire free of charge. After a gentle wake-up call, you can take a stroll around the hotel, between jungle and beach. There are small, discreet beaches nearby where you can enjoy the sea. You can also take advantage of the pontoon and the various facilities on site, and set off by boat equipped with snorkels and masks to explore the coral reefs of Cayo Coral, close to your hotel. On the way, your guide will take you to Bahia de los Delfines (Dolphin Bay), a popular spot for dolphins. You can explore the other islands of the Bocas del Toro archipelago in search of little wonders to discover. Discover Old Bank, the main town on Bastimentos Island and the second largest in the archipelago. Its population is made up of Afro-Caribbean descendants forcibly brought over a century ago to work on the banana plantations. The locals speak a unique Creole called Guari-Guari, which incorporates several languages: English, French, West Indian Creole, Spanish… After soaking up the Afro-Caribbean culture, head for a nearby organic permaculture and chocolate farm. Cocoa, chocolate, coconut oil, fruit, coffee – everything is natural. Last moments on the island before your morning transfer to Isla Colon and then to Almirante. Back on the mainland, we head for Boquete and the Chiriqui region by road. This 232-hectare protected park is the city’s green lung. It is also the first part of a biological corridor between the south and north of the isthmus, guaranteeing that animals can move from the Pacific to the Atlantic forests. The park is located just 15 minutes from downtown Panama City. In addition to sloths, you’ll have the chance to see many of the 250-plus species of birds, as well as reptiles and amphibians.In the afternoon, visit the Panama Canal and Miraflores locks.The Panama Canal is one of the most impressive sites to discover on a trip to Panama. This man-made waterway, some 80 kilometers long, links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, saving ships precious time by avoiding the long detour through South America. Today, visitors can watch the ships pass through the famous Miraflores or Agua Clara locks, visit modern interpretation centers and learn more about the fascinating history of this titanic work.

In the morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in central Panama and take you to the Puerto Corotu pier to discover one of the region’s indigenous communities.A day dedicated to meeting the Emberas DruaYou’ll make your way to the port of Corotú, from where you’ll take a motorized pirogue to one of the community’s villages. On the other side of the river, you’ll be welcomed by the cacique (spiritual leader) and the village children. Throughout the day, you’ll discover their way of life and traditions, including the art of tattooing. You’ll also have the opportunity to bathe in a waterfall in the heart of the surrounding jungle, be introduced to their knowledge of medicinal plants and watch a performance of ancestral dances.
