This historic district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combines colonial charm with contemporary energy.
With your local guide, you’ll discover its cobbled streets, centuries-old churches, flower-filled balconies and sun-drenched squares. Here, every facade tells a story, and every street corner holds a surprise: elegant cafés, art galleries, local boutiques… right down to the trendy rooftops offering spectacular views of Panama Bay and its futuristic skyline.
Then head for the Miraflores locks, where you’ll enjoy a bird’s-eye view of all kinds of ships in transit (container ships, liners or tiny sailing boats…).
The Panama Canal is one ofthe most impressive sites to discover on a trip to Panama. This man-made waterway, some 80 kilometers long, links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, saving ships precious time by avoiding the long detour through South America. Built by the United States after the failure of an initial French project, the canal was inaugurated in 1914. It remained under American control for many years, before being officially returned to Panama on December 31, 1999.

You’ll discover Coiba National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, located off Panama’s Pacific coast in the Gulf of Chiriqui. Today, the marine park boasts some of the greatest biological diversity in the world.
Coiba is a world-class diving destination located in the same corridor as the Galapagos Islands, offering access to the largest offshore reef on the west coast of the Americas. Diving in its waters, you’ll have the chance to see manta rays, whales and hammerhead sharks. If you come between December and April, you may even see some of the biggest fish in the ocean: whale sharks!
Your day will be punctuated by several stops to get the most out of the place. You’ll go snorkeling, where you’ll be able to observe all these aquatic splendors. Relax on the park’s beaches. There will be a lunch break to regain your strength, and a short 5-minute walk to the Cerro Gambute viewpoint will be offered if the weather permits.
