Immerse yourself in Panama’s history, through the streets and squares of the historic Casco Viejo district to the Canal.
In the morning, we recommend you explore the historic Casco Viejo district.
You’ll find historic symbols of the struggle of peoples against the colonizer, such as the statue of Simon Bolivar and Independence Square. Other places retain their Spanish heritage, such as the Plaza Mayor, venue for bullfights, horse races and other festivities.
You’ll find numerous craft stores and interesting art galleries, including one on molas, the art of the Guna Yala Indians.
In the afternoon, visit the Panama Canal.
Thanks to the morning’s historical strolls, you’ll now be well equipped to understand the issues surrounding the Canal.
The Panama Canal is one of the most impressive sites to discover on a trip to Panama. This man-made waterway, some 80 kilometers long, links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, saving ships precious time by avoiding the long detour through South America.
It’s time to feel the rhythm of salsa during a class in the heart of Casco Viejo.
In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll be guided by professional dancers with over 40 years’ experience to teach you the basics of salsa. You’ll dance in rueda to the rhythm of the congas for 1 hour, and you’ll want to come back again and again!
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, alone, as a couple or in a group, this experience is open to all. It takes place in a simple studio with a private rooftop, in the heart of a trendy local venue with a tropical ambience. Warning: salsa can be very addictive..

The park is located just 15 minutes from downtown Panama’s capital. In addition to sloths, you’ll have the chance to see many of the more than 250 species of birds, as well as reptiles and amphibians.
An observation tower allows you to climb up to the tree canopy, and a building nestled in the jungle allows you to observe hummingbirds at close quarters.
