Jour 1 :

Panama City

Welcome to Panama!Your driver will meet you at Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport to take you to your hotel.Free time in the Casco Viejo district.This historic UNESCO World Heritage site blends colonial charm with contemporary energy. Stroll through its cobbled streets lined with ancient churches, lively squares and restored buildings with colorful facades. Here you’ll find elegant cafés, artisan boutiques, art galleries and superb rooftops offering breathtaking views of the skyline and bay. Ideal for a coffee, to learn about the country’s history or simply to soak up the authentic atmosphere of the old town. And for a bit of culture, the Canal Museum and the Mola Museum (Guna handicrafts) are very interesting.Night in a hotel in Casco Viejo, Panama City.

Jour 2 :

Panama City

Panama City is the only capital city on the continent to boast a genuine tropical forest. This 232-hectare protected park is the city’s green lung. It is also the first part of a biological corridor between the south and north of the isthmus, guaranteeing that animals can move from the Pacific to the Atlantic forests. The park is located just 15 minutes from downtown Panama City. In addition to seeing sloths, you’ll have the chance to observe many of the 250-plus species of birds, reptiles and amphibians.Visit the Panama Canal and Miraflores locks.The Panama Canal is one of the most impressive sites to discover on a trip to Panama. This man-made waterway, some 80 kilometers long, links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, saving ships precious time by avoiding the long detour through South America.

Pedasi

Drive from Panama City to Pedasi.Depart for the Azuero Peninsula, guardian of Panama’s folkloric traditions. You’ll take the famous Pan-American Highway for most of the way before entering the peninsula. Discover Isla Iguana and its marine and terrestrial faunaIsla Iguana is famous for its impressive coral reef, the largest in the Gulf of Panama. Covering an area of 16 hectares, it is home to a great diversity of underwater life, including over 11 different species of coral and 542 species of fish. Equip yourself with mask and snorkel, and dive into a fascinating underwater world, where colorful corals and tropical fish offer a vibrant spectacle of life and beauty.

On the island, you’ll find 2 trails, 2 beaches and the janitors’ hut, where you can discover a large colony of hermit crabs, birds and iguanas, hence the island’s name.Immersive discovery in the process of freeing Panamanian turtlesMeet a young, committed collective, born of a strong desire to protect endangered marine turtles at Playa Venao, one of Panama’s most exposed beaches. Santa Catalina

Discover Coiba National Park, a true paradise on earth. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, Coiba National Park is located off Panama’s Pacific coast, in the Gulf of Chiriqui. As a former penal colony, access to the island was historically limited, allowing most of the region’s natural resources to survive intact. Today, the marine park boasts some of the highest biological diversity in the world.Coiba is a world-class diving destination located in the same corridor as the Galapagos Islands, offering access to the largest offshore reef on the west coast of the Americas. Diving in its waters, you’ll have the chance to see manta rays, whales and hammerhead sharks. If you come between December and April, you’ll even be able to see some of the ocean’s biggest fish: whale sharks! Your day will be punctuated by several stops to discover the best of this place. You’ll go snorkeling, where you’ll be able to observe all these aquatic splendors. Relax on the park’s beaches. Santa Catalina

Discover the small village of Santa Catalina.Santa Catalina used to be a small fishing village with very few visitors. In recent years, however, the village has become a must-see stop for surfers. Surfers of all levels and from all over the world gather on Santa Catalina’s beaches every year. Gradually, departures for Coiba National Park were also made from Santa Catalina. Punta Chame

Discover and raise awareness of Panamanian turtles: witness the laying or hatching of sea turtles in Panama. This experience allows you to observe these endangered species at close quarters in their natural habitat, under professional supervision. It also aims to support local conservation initiatives and encourage exchanges with coastal communities, reinforcing the link between environmental protection and local culture.

Sightings are not guaranteed, but in season, between July and December, large numbers of turtles come to lay their eggs on the Pacific beaches.Punta Chame and its constant winds:Punta Chame is a long sandy peninsula bordered by the Pacific Ocean, known for its tranquil beaches and constant winds. It’s an ideal spot for

  • Kitesurfing (season from December to April): one of Panama’s best spots.

Arriving in Panama’s cosmopolitan capital,from Punta Chame we again take the small road along the coast, passing through rural areas and joining the Panamericana at Chame. Once on the Panamericana, we head for Panama City. As you approach the capital, traffic can become heavy, especially at rush hour.Discover another of Panama City’s neighborhoods, El Cangrejo.El Cangrejo is a dynamic, up-and-coming district, renowned for its pleasant pedestrian life, tree-lined streets, verdant parks and diverse gastronomic scene.
