Panama offers ideal conditions for diving, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking and fishing. From the Pacific to the Caribbean, marine ecosystems vary from region to region, from coral reefs to volcanic beaches and mangroves. Coiba Island, Bastimentos Park and the waters of the Gulf of Portobelo are among the richest sites for diving. Surfers will find regular waves at Santa Catalina or Bocas del Toro, while kayakers explore the bays, islets and mangroves of the Las Perlas or San Blas archipelagos. Fishing

Panama invites you to fish at sea, in the Caribbean or the Pacific, in rivers, along the coast or on the canal. Whether aboard comfortable boats, rubber dinghies or simple canoes, the fishing possibilities are extremely extensive. Sport fishing in Panama is always a fruitful adventure…One of the great fishing regions is the Gulf of San Miguel, in the province of Darien, which boasts numerous world records. Although fishing is possible all year round, the best period starts in December with the onset of the dry season and ends in May.
